Being a naturally occurring product, the quality of Mānuka oil can vary significantly. That’s why we have led the way for an industry standard and created a quality assurance mark.
MβTK™ stands for natural Mānuka oil β-triketones and as a grading system, represents the percentage of Mānuka β-triketones present in Mānuka oil, the natural compounds that have been shown to have very high antibacterial properties in scientific research*.
MβTK™ is the quality mark you can trust. It guarantees the strength and purity of the Mānuka oil you are buying and allows you to select the grade of oil best suited to your needs.
When buying a MβTK™ rated Mānuka oil, you can have total confidence that
(1) The product you are buying is 100% authentic, produced under the strictest quality guidelines and
(2) It contains the levels of β-triketones stated on the label.

Mānuka Originz™ Traceability
Authenticity, traceability and food safety are the three reasons why we created the Manuka Originz™quality mark.
We take your safety, health and wellbeing seriously, it’s our number one priority.
The Mānuka Originz™ mark guarantees:
We believe the best honey is produced by healthy bees, under stringent hive management, carried out by our beekeeping experts.
To ensure optimal management, all of our hives are fitted with a unique electronic identification tag. The tag is scanned on site which records the GPS location, our beekeeper then enters actions and details of the hive directly into their phones. This information is captured daily in our central database, and we have the most updated information pertaining to the state of our hives and bees, this ensures we collect Mānuka honey of the finest quality.
Through a close partnership with Oritain™, an independent and scientific origin verification organisation, the origin of our Mānuka honey can be traced. By collecting, analysing and archiving sample batches of our Melora honey, Oritain™ can determine the geochemical specifications, which proves Melora™ Mānuka honey is genuine and sourced from New Zealand.
All Melora Mānuka honey products carry the Mānuka Originz™ guarantee. This gives you the ability to trace our Mānuka honey products to its New Zealand origin.
Buy with complete confidence, our products are genuine and of the highest quality.
New Zealand Origin
New Zealand is a remote, untouched and unspoiled island paradise. From this unique location, exotic and diverse native plant species flourish. Indigenous Mānuka grows in abundance all over our island nation and we carefully select only the finest to make our high-quality UMF® Mānuka honey and high-potency MβTK™ Mānuka oil.
Unique climate conditions are required to produce the highest strength Manuka. The soil, climate and ecological environment conditions all combine to create ideal growing conditions.
We know the sunny region of the East Cape of New Zealand produces some Mānuka of the finest quality. And our team of scientists, beekeepers, and horticulture specialists continue to investigate other regions, to understand and discover the UMF® and MβTK™ properties throughout New Zealand.
Fair Share Programme
Our Mānuka honey and Mānuka oil is sustainably sourced from native Mānuka plant that flourishes throughout the remote coastal regions of New Zealand.
Working in partnership with the landowners who nurture and guard our precious resource, Mānuka, our Fair Share Programme is an open and transparent scheme that gives a percentage of the income gained from the Mānuka honey and oil back to the landowner. Thereby directly benefiting the remote, coastal communities.
